The 08.27 Plymouth to Paddington HST has just passed Teignmouth on the South Devon coast formed of InterCity 125 set No 253 014 on a glorious summer day in August 1983. These very same trains are still plying this route from London to Cornwall but their future is threatended by electrification as far as Bristol so some dual mode trains will probably replace these veterans.
