Harper's Ferry, WV 11/6/2012 - As the last gasps of sunlight recede below the horizon, the CSX Subdivision mainline is brilliantly lit by the arriving westbound MARC commuter train P-875 making its station stop at Harper's Ferry. The train is on its way to Martinsburg, WV. Across the Shenandoah River, commuters in their automobiles along U.S. Route 340 blaze a constant stream of light in this 30 second exposure. ISO 125, f/7.1, 30 sec.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
