Montana Rail Link’s ML (Missoula to Laurel manifest) freight traverses some of the many curves in Lombard Canyon near Toston, Montana, on August 9, 1996. On the point is cowl F45 no. 391, leading three more big EMDs. The mountainside on the other side of the canyon seems to drop straight down into the Missouri River at this location.
