During the July 4th week in Virginia, Heritage was not the only focus! After a complete repaint by the paint shop in Chattanooga, NW's Bicentennial SD45 #1776 is seen here posed in front of the old Norfolk & Western general office building for a modern-day publicity shot. This is the same location that NW used for 1776's original publicity shot after being first painted red white and blue in the 70's. Shortly after this was taken, 1776 was parked under the shed at the Virginia Museum of Transportation, next to 1218 and 611, where it has been residing ever since. Photo by Casey Thomason.
