For my last submission of 2012, I thought I would include just one more of the A4 line-up at National Railway Museum annex at Locomotion, Shildon, Co Durham. 60008 Dwight D. Eisenhower visiting from Green Bay, WI and 60010 Dominion of Canada from Montreal flank home-based 60009 Union of South Africa. Lined up in sequential order for a once only photoshoot with all three locos are in British Railways green. 60010 is now in the process of being painted into LNER blue and 60008 is at the NRM at York and has been repainted into the correct shade of green. Taken just before the end of daylight, this amazing sight which was my highlight of the year, was a curtain raiser for the line up of all six surviving A4s that will take place in 2013. I'll be there when it happens!
