| Built in 1925 by the Santa Fe Railway, the causeway bisecting the Los Penasquitos still serves nearly 50 trains per day at speeds up to 90mph. Amtrak 91 pours on the power to spend a couple miles at 90mph before slowing on the curvy 2.2% grade of Miramar Hill. Bringing up the rear, a CB&Q streamliner brings a little polished steel to the SoCal sun. |
