Northbound Amtrak P052, the "Auto Train," passes the Virginia Railway Express station at Brooke, VA on March 26, 2000. I must admit that I had a thing for Amtrak's Phase IV paint scheme and made a special effort to shoot Amtrak when it was used. P052 looks pretty nice with the Phase IV P40DCs and matching train of Superliners. As an aside, until the relocation of the main line to construct Crystal City in Arlington, Brooke was the location of the only S-curve on the entire RF&P main.
