Remarks & Notes
Aftermath after Amtrak Train 6, "California Zephyr" struck a rock slide in Fraser Canyon between Granby and Tabernash, Colo., and slid down into Fraser River, apparently before that section of track had a detector warning fence. There were no serious injuries and passengers were taken back to Granby on motor cars and hi-rail vehicles. F40's 246 and 301, two Superliner coaches and a baggage car, wait on a Denver Union Terminal track for Amtrak disposition on April 27, 1985. F40 301 was rebuilt and 246 wasn't.
