Traction motor blowers kick up a large cloud of dust as the GLC ONTN passes over a stretch of fresh, untamped ballast. The State of Michigan, owners of this portion of track, has been investing in this line over the last 2 years, rebuilding the line and helping ensure reliable rail service to Northern Michigan.
