This month, Norfolk Southern tested brand new General Electric ES44C4 locomotives on lease from the BNSF Railway. Operating as No. 996, the move is depicted rolling through pastoral Kumis, Va., along the rails of the former Virginian, after completing adhesion testing at Ironto.
