Remarks & Notes

Repair work is performed on the end of SP&S 272 at the Northwest Railway Museum's Conservation & Restoration Center. This car was built as a coach in 1915 by Barney & Smith for the Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railway and was subsequently modified by the railroad into its current baggage-coach configuration. Today it serves as one of the workhorses on the Museum's excursion trains; in the summer months the open-air seating at the baggage doors is in high demand.
