C&TS 488 leads a Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec special train that ran from Chama to Cumbres for a meeting of the Friends. One of the members of the Friends passed away in February, so shortly after this picture was taken, his widow boarded the train, his ashes were spread at Windy Point, and there was a short memorial service for him during the meeting at the new pavilion at Cumbres. Here the train is passing the pond just below Coxo.
