Remarks & Notes
A sad sight for Western Pacific fans is this extensive lineup of stored power in Salt Lake City after the merger with UP. Many of these units would be purchased and rebuilt while others were donated or scrapped. The WP 2264, a U23B, was rebuilt by General Electric as a Super 7 B23-7R for the Monongahela Railway (MGA 2305) in 1990.

These are engines that are either already scrapped, are in deadlines, or they're in severe danger of being scrapped. Not everything can be preserved.
