Remarks & Notes
Hidden inside the shops of the Boothbay Railway Village, we find the boiler of the Maine Narrow Gauge RR's current restoration project, Bridgton & Saco River #7. While the boiler work is taking place in Boothbay, the folks down in Portland have been hard at work on the rest of the locomotive, which they hope to have ready for service within the next year. With Monson #4 about to go out of service due to expiration of its FRA certification, the railroad will be without steam power until #7 is ready. As always, money is the biggest issue here, so help these guys out! Photo taken with permission.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
