Remarks & Notes
After the state takeover of the Ann Arbor, the Tuscola & Saginaw Bay began to attempt to maintain operations on the railroad and create their own image. Despite that desire, the railroad's GP35's were not immediately painted over, and as a result, large patches remained on the sides of the former Orange Annie warriors. Eventually, both of these units would be painted over to black and yellow; 391 was painted over to Great Lakes Central blue and white, but is currently not operational, and 394 still owns its black and yellow, and is also not operating at the time of this photo being uploaded. Here, the two veterans are switching out Selma yard in Cadillac, MI. preparing to take a cut of cars south to Clare, MI. 35mm slide from my collection, photo by W.T. Clynes.
