Originally purchased by NC&StL and assigned number 814, the unit then transferred to L&N after the merger, sold to the Clinchfield in January 1965, and finally sold to Clinchfield Coal Company in December 1977, CCO 014 was used as a tipple switcher, however, as time passed, it was retired, and was simply left where they parked it until May 27, 1993, when a group of preservationists made their way up the Nora Spur and brought the unit out and it eventually made its way to the TVRM where it resides awaiting restoration. 35mm slide from my collection, photo by Wayne Hannan.
