Remarks & Notes
Autumn on the LIRR! For reasons unknown, the trees along the railroad ROW through Pinelawn always seem to hit their peak foliage about three weeks before the rest of the trees on Long Island. Here are some of them showing off their autumn glow, as a Ronkonkoma bound train makes a stop at the tiny Pinelawn Station, which will be closed in several years when a second track project takes place in the area.
