Remarks & Notes
In the early 1940s, General Electric built some small diesel locomotives as part of the war effort. Among the models offered was the 50-Ton, which were all constructed for the US Navy and featured side rods on the trucks! This particular specimen, owned by North Sunbury Bulk Transfer (of Sunbury, Pennsylvania), also includes unusual swing couplers. Photo taken on private property with permission and wearing full PPE.
