Remarks & Notes

As Clinchfield coal train #26 passed southbound through Kingsport, Tenn., its pushers were in their normal waiting area -- the south end of the CTC siding, on Nov. 26, 1966. Those F unit helpers, led by an ex-L&N, would shove No. 26 for 93 miles to Alta Pass summit of the Blue Ridge.
