Two of BNSF's rarest locomotives sit together in the San Bernardino engine facility: PR30C 1320 (one of four Progress Rail-built PR30Cs on the railroad, with only two of them painted in full BNSF colors) and 3GS21C-DE 1310 (one of two NRE-built 3GS21C-DE owned by BNSF). 1320 was constructed from Soo Line SD40-2 763 (and was numbered PRLX 3002 before being sold to BNSF), while 1310 was constructed in Paducah, Kentucky, from BNSF SD45-2 6482, which was formerly Santa Fe 5832, originally ATSF 5696. Photographed on railroad property with permission and full PPE
An attempt to put the best picture of engines that represent each of America's railroads. When a better picture of an engine/type is found, it will be added.
