Campaign Alco? On November 2nd, 2013, Ray Burton, a member of the New Hampshire governor's executive council, operated his last chartered excursion train on the Plymouth & Lincoln Railroad (known popularly as the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad or the Hobo Railroad, depending on which end of the line you're on). A campaign sticker adorned Winnipesaukee Scenic Alco S-1 No. 1008 for the occasion. Mr. Burton died ten days later, on November 12, 2013, after running this special train for thirty years.
