Remarks & Notes

After being down in the bowl moving an errant car at the East Hump Yard, Union Pacific No. 3138 leads sister SD40-2 No. 3267 and SD38-2 No. Y810 back up the grade and over the hump on May 4, 2011. North Platte’s Gold Spike Tower stands prominently in the background, along with a darkened sky that is receding east, as parts of Nebraska are receiving some spring storms this particular day.
