Remarks & Notes
Train 232 is hauled through Feilding by DXB 5137 and DL 9066. The DX class (narrow gauge version of GE U23C) was introduced from 1972 and all have been re-built, the DXB being uprated to 3000Hp. The DL class built by Dalian CNR in China is 3600HP and was introduced from 2010. This train is normally hauled by EF class electrics from Palmerston North to Hamilton.

Trains on 3' 6" (1.067m) track from Whangarei to Bluff with virtually heritage rebuilt EMD and GE locomotives still the mainstay power. The network was privatized in 1990's and operated by Toll until 2008 when state owned KiwiRail was established.
