Several unit coal trains wait for departure in the huge classification yard of Williamson. Today's late fall dreary atmosphere compliments the Williamson Yard and the coal mining atmosphere of Mingo County. A total of nine coal trains are pictured in the above scene, evident that the coal industry is still marching on in the southern West Virginia coalfields.
