CNW 815,814,831,4117,4502 and 4562 are eastbound with 29 cars near sunset west of Belle Fourche. The CNW GP30's had been in and out of storage for a long time and I think at the time of this photo these two along with the 820 were the only ones in operation. The FRV line sale was about to take place in late 1988 and somehow the CNW managed to get these three GP30's running and sold them along with a few GP35's and a bigger group of GP7/9's to the new railroad in Wisconsin. Later they ended up on WC and received quite a bit of work at North Fond du Lac to the point that they actually were fairly reliable units until the CN merger.
