| Hidden gems of the Mountain State... Rusting away on the last section of Western Maryland mainline rail outside of downtown Webster Springs, an American Car and Foundry Co. 1928 built wheel set represents the only form of identification of this 30' former WM railcar. The car was manufactured in Huntington, W.Va. on the C&O and likely spent much of its years in obscure branch line service in West Virginia. Today, the frame and wheel set are all that remain and identification of the actual type of railcar remains a mystery... |
