An eight coach, Type 10M5, Metrorail set passes through the hilly area of Shongweni on a winter afternoon and is bound for Cato Ridge, having started its journey at Durban Station. There is a regular Metrorail service between Durban and Cato Ridge, with the trains stopping at all stops along the way, providing locals living in remote "rural" areas with reliable transport, especially the school kids to and from their schools.
