Remarks & Notes 
An eastbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe manifest freight approaches the west switch at Rocky, Colorado, on April 13, 2002. Four GE C44-9Ws power the train, with one of them set up as rear DPU, that can be seen on the track above. Between the head end and DPU, the train is circling the mesa that Big 10 Curve uses to gain (or lose) elevation on the grade up the Front Range.
