January 25th, 2014. Track crews begin slicing the rails of Metrolink's San Bernardino mainline in preparation of sliding them a few feet south to connect the panel track where the 4014 awaits to make its escape from the Pomona Fairgrounds. The 4014 has been displayed there for the last 52 years at the Railroad & Locomotive Historical Societies compound. The 4014 is being moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming for restoration and operation by the Union Pacific Railroad.
