Holiday decorations still line Central Avenue in downtown Whitefish as the town prepares for their big Winter Carnival. A rare GN NW3 (originally bought for Duluth-Grand Forks passenger trains) sits displayed prominently near the depot. This original railroad and logging town is dominated by skiers in the winter, as confirmed by the impressive slopes of Whitefish Mountain Resort in the distance.
