Marias Pass in known for heavy snow and my recent trip there didn't disappoint. I had shot the pass in spring, summer and fall but never winter. The Izaak Walton was a busy place with skiers taking advantage of all the groomed cross country trails. The F45 is a former ATSF unit made to look like GN's F45s that called this area home (you can stay inside the unit if your budget allows).
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
