Approaching the East Siding Switch Bingen a BNSF export grain train is hugging the "North Bank Road" of the former Spokane, Portland and Seattle railway deep within the confines of the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. The Columbia River slices through the Cascade Mountain Range at this location and the basalt rock formations all along this area are quite a dramatic sight to behold.
