Colorado & Southern SD7 813 switches the yard in Wichita Falls, Texas, on March 3rd, 1973. Built by EMD in February 1953, C&S was at that time a subsidiary of the Chicago Burlington & Quincy. When the CB&Q was merged with GN, NP and SP&S to form the Burlington Northern, the C&S was included as well. This engine had its nose chopped at some point (most likely after the BN merger in 1970), and would later be renumbered C&S 6073 and, when the C&S was officially folded into the BN, it was numbered BN 6073.
