The Ferry Yard office located on the former Ann Arbor mainline was a fixture on the railroad. The office was small and served the yard and crews as designed. However, after the end of the Ann Arbor, Ferry Yard was closed, disconnected from the mainline, and the yard office was sealed tight to make entry impossible. Today, the yard is overgrown, but, the yard office still stands proud alongside the mainline, and the stories and sights that it could share would be splendid. 35mm slide from my collection, photographer unknown.
