| Taken just a little further west and a few moments after my image 482077, this is as panoramic a shot as my 24mm lens can make. The view shows the expanse of the Pilot Valley stretching to the north to the town of Montello, 10,719' Pilot Peak and most of Arnold's Loop. The train is the Union Pacific MRORV manifest train running on the Shafter sub. The cars visible directly ahead of the #6394 are on the lower level of the loop trackage and are going in the opposite direction from the train on the upper level of trackage. |
