| Eurostar set No 3010/3009 is slowing as approaches the Eurotunnel boundary on the 13.31 St.Pancras to Paris Nord service. The track in the centre is the access chord to Dollands Moor freight yard - the sign in the foreground showing the end of Rail Track (RT) and the start of Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) where the driver will have to switch from conventional signals to in-cab TVM 430. Both signs are out of date, for RT read NR (Network Rail) and for CTRL read HS1 (High Speed 1 as we hope to have an HS2!). The train is very clean because HM the Queen travelled on it the previous day to Paris for the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings. |
