Led by a pair of BNSF SD70MAC's, southbound Kansas City Light & Power (KCLX) coal empties snake their way down through the rolling hills of northeastern Wyoming on BNSF's Orin Subdivision near Donkey Creek. This train of empties originated at the Hawthorn Generating Station power plant down in Kansas City, MO and is headed for loading at the Black Thunder Mine, halfway down the Powder River Basin. The change in scenery is sure evident here as the normal wide open grassland gives way to tall, rolling hills and a good number of trees.
