A brand new Transperth B series EMU nears completion at the EDI/Bombardier workshops in Maryborough, Queensland - some 3,650km as the crow flies from the city of Perth where it will spend its working life! Each completed set is transferred across the continent by rail, first on narrow gauge transfer bogies to Brisbane, then on a set of standard gauge bogies to Perth, where they will be united with their proper narrow gauge bogies to commence regular service.
