Remarks & Notes
A pair of LMS Stanier 'Black Five' 4-6-0s pass Pluckley with the 09.42 Victoria-Minster-Victoria Steam Dreams 'Cathedrals Express'. The leading engine No 44871 was one of two 'Black Fives that hauled British Rail's official the last steam train on August 11, 1968 - the infamous 'Fifteen Guinea' special. (One Guinea = £1.1 shilling - now £1.5p)
