Remarks & Notes

PA-1 602 smokes it up as it accelerates across Sand Creek near Sandown Junction, Denver. Ellis, Kansas - Denver 369, one of Union Pacific‘s last mixed trains, originates in Kansas City as number 69, a local passenger run. Eastbound counterparts are trains 370 and 70. As late as 1957, 370 sometimes departs behind a 4-8-4 or a 2-10-2, or both. But unfortunately for the photographer, long after dark.
