Remarks & Notes
A Network Rail SITT train (snow & ice treatment train) comes round the curve from Charing powered by 66 765, delivered new from EMD last year, and 66 722 at the rear. With freezing weather forecast possibly with snow Network Rail are taking no chances with the third rail electric supply which if iced up quickly brings the network to a state of chaos as EMUs cannot drawn enough electric current. The train delivers a coating of de-icing fluid to the third rail via the shoe beams attached to the wagons.
