An Amtrak HHP-8 clears a pair of PRR signals at Levittown, PA.
All 15 8,000 HP HHP-8's have since been retired, replaced by newer ACS-64 "Cities Sprinter" units rated at 6,700 HP. AEM-7's, incidentally, are rated at 5,790 HP while the well known GG1's (1935-1983) plied the Corridor with 4,620 HP. Perhaps the former PRR position lights will survive to see the Acela II's!
