Rebuilt Merchant Navy class three-cylinder 4-6-2 No 35029 Ellerman Lines has steam to spare as it departs from Waterloo station in London with the Sunday 11am express to Exeter. This locomotive has been sectioned to show the innermost workings of a steam engine and is on display at the National Railway Museum, York. the photo was taken from the window of a departing suburban EMU - something sadly one cannot do with to-days hermetically sealed trains!
