With ten cars on the drawbar, Montana Rail Link’s 844 local heads westbound through the Jefferson River Canyon east of Sappington, Montana, on May 16, 2013. On the other side of the river is the empty roadbed of the Milwaukee Road’s Pacific Extension main line.
