DD35A 83 is still climbing March 19, 1966, at it leans to the curve at the east end of Hermosa and begins the approach to the twin bores at Hermosa Tunnel and the summit of Sherman Hill. Together with the DD35B, head end power here is a hefty 10,000 hp.
