Remarks & Notes |
The temperature is hovering around 12ºF at 10:10am on a very windy winter morning as NS 66Z races across the South Branch of the Raritan River with the Central of Georgia heritage unit leading. The seemingly fast run would end abruptly a few miles ahead at Manville where the train would be held for several hours account a bridge being struck by a tractor trailer on Conrail's Port Reading Secondary. Once it was deemed safe to do so, empty crude oil train 67Z (which was further delayed after being held for a re-crew) and this loaded 66Z would continue on their way past the site of the bridge strike. |
