The Yard at Jacumba - A pair of former Spirit of Washington EMD F7A units that were run in the Seattle area by a dinner train outfit sit nose to nose rusting away on the house track in the Carrizo Gorge Railway yard located at Jacumba California. These units may still be operable and they represent the remainder of the useful power that once belonged to the CZRY. Of the other three motive assets at Jacumba, two are being picked apart by scavengers and a third is an F7B sitting at the far end of the yard that probably has not been under power in a number of decades. In my opinion, the best thing that could happen to these forlorn F's would be to join the museum collection in Campo.
