Remarks & Notes
Directly on the outskirts of the small French town of Chaumont the famous ligne 4 crosses a small valley on a gigantic stone bridge. The viaduc du Chaumont is built like an ancient Roman aqueduct. With a length of 654m (2145ft) and height of 52m (170ft) this 1857 built bridge is still just majestic. Here the 6-axle passenger diesel loco CC 72157 is crossing the bridge with the Intercité 1840 from Belfort with destination Paris.
