Remarks & Notes
Norfolk Southern train H66 creeps down the siding as it heads back to Allentown Terminal. The train, consisting of eight covered hoppers, is lead by GP38-2 5620. NS 5620 was built by EMD in August 1971 as Southern Railway GP38AC 2871 (with a high short hood, and sublettering for Southern subsidiary Cincinnati, New Orleans and Texas Pacific). Southern 2871 became Norfolk Southern 2871 upon that road's merger with the Norfolk & Western, and was subsequently rebuilt in late 2005 (complete with a chopped short hood) to Dash 2 standards and reclassified as a GP38-2.
