Preserved '4200' Class loco No. 4270 at Dixton Cutting,on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway,with a Toddington to Cheltenham service.Designed by Churchward for the Great Western Railway,4270 was built at Swindon Works,and delivered new in December 1919.She was used for heavy freight work in South Wales,until withdrawn in September 1962.The loco then went to the scrapyard at Barry in August 1963,and remained there until being rescued for preservation in July 1985.After intensive work she re-entered service at the GWSR,where she still soldiers on.
